Professional Interests

Voice Disorders and Laryngeal Surgery – Dr. Winkle has had the opportunity to train with some of the finest vocal surgeons in the United States, and works closely with the speech pathologists in the community, including the vocal rehab clinic at Mary Free Bed. Dr. Winkle provides Botox injections for spasmodic dysphonia and vocal tremor.

Nasal and Sinus Surgery – Using recent advances such as computer guided sinus surgery and powered sinus microdebriders, Dr. Winkle is fully trained in current state of the art techniques.

Head and Neck Surgery – Working closely with the oncologists and radiation oncologists in the West Michigan community, Dr. Winkle is interested in the optimal medical and surgical management for all types of head and neck tumors.

Diseases of the Ear – Dr. Winkle has research experience and continued interest in hearing loss, middle ear surgery, and reconstruction.
