Professional Interests

Diseases of the Nose and Sinuses – Dr. Kosta has embraced new advances in caring for patients with sinus disease and has acquired expertise and experience in endoscopic sinus surgery including the use of power microdebriders and computer aided sinus surgery.  Dr. Kosta was the first in West Michigan to perform Balloon Sinuplasty.

Pediatric Otolaryngology – Dr. Kosta has great experience in pediatric ear nose and throat problems, treating them both medically and, when needed, surgically for 20 years. He provides inpatient consultation to the Neonatal ICU and Pediatric ICU as well as the pediatric floors at DeVos Children’s Hospital and Saint Mary’s Health Care.

Head and Neck Cancer – Dr. Kosta is well trained in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of cancer and other tumors involving the ears, nose and throat. This is a rapidly changing field with new advances in recent years allowing for treatment of these conditions with more limited surgery or with non-surgical therapy.

Snoring and Sleep Apnea – These interrelated problems have become increasingly common and more widely recognized in the past decade. Dr. Kosta is one of the leading physicians in West Michigan in the surgical treatment of sleep apnea.
