Susan Haveman-Kruf is the Director of Audiology for the Hearing Resources Office. In 1989, then a staff audiologist for the ENT Center of Grand Rapids, she began the Hearing Resources business with the goal of serving patients with hearing needs - providing diagnoses, counseling, information, hearing aids, hearing aid maintenance and repairs, noise protection plugs, loop systems and hearing accessory items.

Since founding the Hearing Resources division of the ENT Center almost two decades ago, her staff has grown to three full-tim and two part-time audiologists as well as two support staff persons. Each audiologist also works with the medical staff of four ENT Center surgeons.

Susan is a graduate of Calvin College and received her Master's Degree from Western Michigan University. She earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from the Pennsylvania School of Optometry and Audiology.
   
 

Robyn Strangways has been on the audiology staff of Hearing Resources since 2000. She is a Speech Pathology graduate of Western Michigan University where she also recieved her Master's in Audiology in 1998.

Robyn enjoys working in a field where she comes in contact with a wide range of individuals with hearing impairments. She is challenged and rewarded when she is able to provide services to help them.

When not dealing with ears and hearing, Robyn enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves to read, bike ride, water ski, listen to music, go camping, and occasionally play a little poker.

   
 

 Allison Pelton joined ENT and Hearing Resources in 2001. She is a graduate of Michigan State University and Western Michigan University withe her Master's in Audiology.

Allison enjoys the technological challenge of working with digital hearing aids and enjoys helping her patients reach their maximum potential in ever listening situation. She loves the chance to get to know her patient's lifestyles and hearing needs.

Allison and husband Bob are the proud parents of 2 year old Walker. They are all enjoying their new home in the Byron Center area.

   
 

 Cecilia Schmidt has been a part-time audiologist with Hearing Resources for over ten years. Cecilia grew up on the east side of the state, attended Eastern Michigan University and received her Master's Degree in Audiology from Wayne State University. She worked for two years in Texas and then moved to Comstock Park MI, with her husband Miles, and two children. The family has now grown to nine children and one daughter in law.

Cecelia enjoys working with our medical staff and meeting the great variety of patients who come through our doors with hearing needs. Heling to satisfy those needs is a pleasure.

   
 

 Deborah West received her BA from Purdue University where she attended on a volleyball scholarship. A couple of years later she received her Master's degree in Audiology from Wayne State University. She worked for Henry Ford Health Systems in the Detroit area until 2004 when, because of her husband's job change, she moved to the Western Michigan area.

Although a stay-at-home Mom, Deb missed working in her career field. In the process of being referred to the Ear Nose and Throat Center for treatment for her son, she was introduced to the audiologists of Hearing Resources and soon thereafter joined the staff on a part-time basis.

Deb enjoys helping patients in their rehabilitation process and improving the quality of their life when it is burdened by hearing difficulties that may negatively affect them and the people that surround them.
